HUMANS ARE ALIVE

With everything going around in this world, trust in humanity has crushed. people found a fascinating cope up mechanism " KALYUG HAI". It's really easy to blame everything on time and move on. I am also one of them who blame kalyug or people and honestly I actually don't believe in humanity now whether because of those incidence going around or because of news I encounter I everyday. being a girl my parents are really protective. this is obvious & I can also blame this society or the fact that they are Indian parents but mostly because of society as I find brown parents really cool.

Today I'll share a story or more of a personal experience with you all which reestablished my faith in humanity. as most of you would know from my blog I'm a student and I live in hostel away from my home. This really raise questions of security specially for your parents. So my parents never let me travel late at night or preferably even in daylight travel with  company. One day I received this news in evening that we are getting 3 days holidays due to some reasons. I called my parents to ask to come home but as it takes 5 hours to reach home from my college to school from train and then buses they obviously didn't agree to let me travel at night. But I haven't gone home for three months, I really wanted to go ASAP and later i go lesser time I get for home ( basic teenage stuff). So I decided to go at that night only  and for permission from my parents I lied to them that one of the girls from our hometown is coming with me and she's travelling with her uncle, I finally got green signal, I packed and caught the last train to reach home. I didn't have time to book ticket online so unfortunately train was full and i had to travel in general standing for 4 hrs, but thanks to my luck and a very gentle Sikh man, he gave up his seat for me and travelled standing (this was huge and I am so thankful, my legs hurt mere thinking about it). Everything was set.

But then a twist came in my not so planned story - I missed my last bus to home. Now at 8 in evening with my parents thinking that am travelling safely with a family, am stuck at railway station. I had no idea what to do I was standing there thinking. Now happened a kinda impossible to believe  something (Even I was doubtful), that same guy from that train was travelling with his bike offered me to go with him & as it turned out he lived at another place half an hour away from my hometown. Now, this is really suspicious right, a guy found you alone, helpless with my parents having no idea of my where being - a perfect crime patrol or 12'O Clock type situation right. But you can call me ruthless or stupid but i had no other alternative left but to go with him ( I know it's mostly stupid). well I took all the precautions that I could, with pepper spray ready in my pocket, noted bike's number and typed a message with a single click sent sent to my parents, woman helpline number 1098 and my father's phone number on my speed dial. This is all I could think of and yeah I know if in case something would have happened this was a gamble but I'm here writing this so obviously nothing happened.

We started our trip and frankly that was the safest I ever travelled. That man made sure to not to drive anything like I will feel unsafe. He talked to me, asked me about my life, told me about his wife and kids- a daughter and a son. He also told me that I shouldn't trust anyone like this and he couldn't leave me there alone but his wife is going to be really pissed that he went along with a girl's lie in front of her parents when she was taking all these risks with strangers. He advised me about my life from his life experiences, I still couldn't believe him until he left me to my house to my parents and told them that he's my friend's uncle. I didn't really get much time to thank him but I will never forget that face and that smile of his which was telling me how happy he was to help me and that's all he wanted from me.

This small 1 hour trip is always going to be my best because that day I got to experience what is called "HUMANITY"- which is even rare to find than god. He also told me one thing that showed how humble and respectful he is towards his religion- "ਧੀਆਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂਜੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ" that means "someone's daughter is everyone's daughter". I believe after that day that little bit of humanity is still alive in this world and wish everyone starts thinking like him.
